Barriers to Mammographic Screening of Breast Cancer in Women: a Cross-sectional Study in Southeastern Iran

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers in women Iran and many other countries around world. This critical cause malignancy-related mortality women. Early detection breast through mammographic screening greatly increases chance a successful treatment. study aimed to explore obstacles women.Methods: cross-sectional was carried out among 812 over age 40 who had not undergone or it irregularly from three selected clinics Zahedan 2017. To this end, researchers used questionnaire which consisted 17 questions examine barriers cancer.Results: The results showed that common test were following: having symptoms (62.7%); mammography being performed by male staff (57.5%); absence as priority necessity life (57.2%); examination sufficient physician healthcare providers for diagnosis (55.8%); embarrassment getting naked during (51.5%). Conclusion: Concerning findings study, has be suggested first system should female staff. Second, health volunteers local mass media, including provincial radio television networks, can also play major role transferring educational materials target group.
